Connect Duluth is, first and foremost, an independent organization. Sure, others claim to be independent but what does "independent" mean to you? Here's what it means to us.

• We are not affiliated with any group or political party.
• We believe government needs more private oversight, not the other way around.
• We are Duluthians of various backgrounds interested in accountability of Government, it's resources, expenditures and employees including our elected officials.
• We favor an open honest process, integrity from our elected officials and accountability from our government.
• We believe there is more common ground than many local politicians would have you believe.
• We as Duluthians have always been united in our quest for better jobs, cleaner streets and efficient government.
• Our goal is to seek out those who will further those common goals and will follow through with their promises.
• We will continue to track those whom we elect to office and hold them accountable for campaign promises.
• We will stake out the common ground and common sense solutions to issues facing our city and region.
• We will promote a common sense, practical and responsible approach to governing the region with integrity being paramount.
• We are optimistic about our future.
• We believe in individuals.

All these things (except the last two) require time and resources, not the least of which is money. In return for your contribution, we will provide information, logical solutions and post them on our website and disseminate them throughout the region. We will seek out and identify those political candidates who will succeed in bringing Duluth back to it's former glory and heal some of the divisions created by the current political environment.
